Under the Sea

Over the past two weeks, Tahi Rua have been learning about different types of endangered sea animals. We joined together with Room 34 to split into three inquiry groups, where the children could choose what animal they wanted to learn about. Each group has been looking at different facts and information about their animal, including what we can do to help conserve these creatures. The three animals we focused on were maui dolphins, yellow-eyed penguins, and hawksbill turtles. Check out what we've been working on!

For our Inquiry this term we have been looking at the animals in the sea. The children chose some animals that they would like to learn more about. The final focus will be - 'What we can do to help protect our sea and the animals that live there.' The children have loved the Inquiry and it has combined well with Writing and Art.
