Earlier in the term North Harbour Hockey came to teach our children some hockey skills. It was quite tricky to hold the stick and move the ball, but we preserved and show lots of improvement.
For our Inquiry this term we have been looking at the animals in the sea. The children chose some animals that they would like to learn more about. The final focus will be - 'What we can do to help protect our sea and the animals that live there.' The children have loved the Inquiry and it has combined well with Writing and Art. Check out our Sea Display to date.
After many attempts - battling the weather - we managed to have a great session in the pirate sandpit. The children worked cooperatively digging, building and creating. We had sandcastles, volcanoes, bridges, tunnels and lots of holes. AWESOME!
In Tahi Rua, we have been learning how to skip. It's been lots of fun and we have done lots of learning! Keep practicing at home - we're getting really good! Check out some photos of us working on our skipping skills.
